A couple weeks ago Jeff and I were able to attend a show put on by the Peking Acrobats from China (thank you for the tickets, Russ!) HOLY COW it was incredible! Thinking about it still amazes me! If you have never heard of them please look them up. I have never seen anything so cool in my life.
There was one act in particular that was mind blowing. I was seriously screaming in terror for the guy. He put four wine bottles on a table, and then proceeded to stack a chair on top of the glasses. He ended up stacking 6 chairs on top of each other, and the whole time he was doing balancing acts fifty feet in the air!
It was terrifying. And so cool. Here is a picture of what he was doing.
Wow, right?!? We were right below him on the fourth row, center stage. He would have fallen right on us!
So Jeff decided he wanted to be an acrobat, too. Here is my cute "little" acrobat balancing on our kitchen chair.
Pretty impressive, right?? Here are just a few more pictures from our night.
We weren't allowed to take pictures, so this is the only one I could sneak! He was going up down the stairs using only one arm!
My cute date!

The Best Day Ever!
Today has seriously been the best day ever. And I have to be honest, none of it is because of me, but because Jeff is so happy I am ecstatic for him. :) Since I have no idea what happened to my journal (probably since I haven't written in it since high school -- eeeh, three years!) I want to write about it here so we don't forget. :)
Jeff has been really interested in interning for USAA, a company voted number one place to work for the past two years. He interviewed with them last week, and got an email saying they want to fly him to San Antonio for a final interview! Woohoo! We are so excited! We would live there for 8 weeks this summer if it all worked out.
Then, Jeff got a call from ESPN. He had sent them a resume a few weeks ago just for fun. He has always dreamed of working for them, but never thought it was possible. This afternoon they actually called him back and want interview him! We would go to Bristol, Connecticut. He is seriously so excited, he can't stop dancing about it. :) Hopefully it works out!
But, the day gets better. Jeff applied to work for a company here in Orem that would pay him a lot better than where he works now. It would allow him to work fewer hours so he could study for the GMAT and finish his homework, but we can still make enough to pay the bills. He is in the top two right now, we just need to wait and see. This would be such a blessing for us!
I then checked the mail and Jeff had a letter from a previous employer. It contained his final check that we've been awaiting for a long time! Woohoo!!
We finished off the day with celebratory pizza from Brick Oven and dancing in the kitchen! The pizza was even gluten-free!
I am such a proud wife! He always works so hard. So happy for you Jeff!!!

Day of the Dead - Sugar Skeletons!
For my Spanish class we are each required to do a project on something from Latin culture. I chose Day of the Dead, which is AWESOME. If you have never heard of it, it is a holiday celebrating the lives of their family members who have passed away. They believe that once a year their spirits come back to visit them. So, they have a celebration welcoming them back. If you want to check out more about this holiday (I highly recommend you do -- it is so cool!) you can check out this website. It has a lot of great information.
Part of their festivities include making sugar skeletons (the picture above shows some of the cool things they do with them.) It isn't something morbid, but it is supposed to be funny and humorous. This is a HAPPY holiday, not a sad one! Here is another picture:
For my project I decided to make my own sugar skulls! So I called my sister Chelsea and had her come help me. Let's be honest, I needed to have some artistic ability to pull this off. :) We found two recipes online and decided to try them both. If you want to make your own sugar skeletons I recommend following this recipe. Keep in mind you are going to need to add way more corn starch and way more sugar than they have listed. You will want to to be thick, like play-doh. It takes a lot of sugar! Here are some pictures of our adventures! (Sorry about the quality, it was my camera phone)

This project was awesome. If you want something fun to do with little kids they will LOVE this. Lots of getting messy. :) And it is edible!
